I was asked to create a simple administration tool so that specified people within an organisation could send out forgotten passwords and user names. I developed a tool that consisted of an initial login screen to stop unauthorised users for using the tool.Traccess Admin Tool

The tool with installer was distributed on CD ROM across the organisation

Once the correct details had been entered the main interface built giving a number of options to the user.

These options were changed depending on the login details used.

There were 3 levels of user type built into the system

  • Standard admin – only able to send usernames and passwords (Not able to view either)
  • Enhanced admin – able to view username but not see passwords
  • Super admin – able to view both username and password, change database connection details and also had additional search modes

Super administrators could also set up smtp servers to send the email reminders from.

The details we kept in a encrypted file that could easily be emailed to different users instantly changing their authorisation if required.
Built using Adobe Flash and MDM Zinc v2, currently still in use within the Edwards organisation.
