iPhone WordPress Publishing
To make our lives even easier WordPress have been developing an app that will work on all models of iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Its looking pretty good it has to be said.
Just need to note that the app works with WordPress.com and WordPress versions 2.92 or higher.
Summary of what this app can do
- Moderate, edit, or reply to comments
- Creating and editing posts
- Add photos
- Check your spelling
- Add Hyperlinks
- Geotag – sharing your location when you post to your WordPress
- plus lots,lots more…..
All this without a single line of code or HTML knowledge
Check out the WordPress micro-site at http://ios.wordpress.org
Update - if your self hosting then you need to ensure you enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols. (under “Writing” in your admin panel).
Only floor i can find so far is that it stores your password e.g. you only need to enter this once. I wuld prefer to have the site logged but prompt for a password when i open the app.
